Yes, now it’s starting to feel real!

The big question people keep asking me is “do you feel ready?” Up until August I consistently told people I was excited, but it didn’t feel real. Which was exactly the truth. Then somehow August happened and I don’t even remember writing down the date or thinking twice about it until suddenly I was in church last Sunday writing August 20th, 2023. All that is to say August has flown by and I don’t feel ready to leave my amazing community and the sweet summer weather but I know God is equipping me and I want to listen.

We are starting new and I know God has good things to come. I have already started to reminisce on all of the blessings from the past 3 months specifically and the nostalgia has officially started. But I know He is good and He is preparing me for whatever is next. And I trust fully in that! So no, I do not feel ready. In that answer alone I have realized how tremendously blessed I am. I am leaving from a place where I will deeply miss the people and community who have encouraged and loved me and I am already thrilled thinking about what that sweet return will look like. Even as I prepare to go I continue to grow these new and old relationships alike. God is so so good!

He is leading the way and in fifteen days I will be getting on a plane and heading to Scandinavia. I get to press pause on worrying about where I should be and what I should be doing in life and instead spend three months getting to know God and his character. Getting to experience His creation and His goodness as I go. Amen!!

God has made a way for me in this and I trust in that. So far I have not been disappointed! I have two more weeks to fundraise and I have just under $3000 dollars to go! If you haven’t yet and would like to support me financially or through prayer or letter this is a perfect time to do so:) If you want to know more about how to give or what I’ll be doing go read my first blog, “In Case You Missed It”, which contains my fundraising letter.

I will also be updating all my addresses on my website so you can send encouraging cards or you can simply send a text or email as well! I know it won’t be easy to be so far away so any words or prayers of encouragement and faith and strength would be wonderful. I will also keep posting updates as I learn more about missions and what is upcoming for me and my team! Thank you so much for reading this, for supporting me, and for all the help along the way!
