July Fundraising Update

Hello friends!

The end of July is already here which means my trip is a little over a month away! That’s hard to believe even as I sit here and type this. It doesn’t quite feel real yet and it probably won’t until I get on the plane!

The good news is I’m already halfway (54%) to my goal of $11,000!!! The flip side of that is I’m only halfway to my goal. But not to worry! That means I’ll be praying for provision and continuing to reach out and trust God as my trip approaches. The month of July has been filled with lots of preparations such as: buying plane tickets to Norway, getting all my vaccinations and records in order and scheduled, calling many Norwegian consulates to figure out Visa information, looking at international travel insurance and lots of prayer and reflection. It has been a busy, but very good month.

As I look into August I will be preparing to travel by squaring away all my accommodation and course fees and of course and figuring out more information for buying tickets to Papua New Guinea! If you haven’t donated and want to now is a perfect time to do so! Or if you want to sit down and have that coffee or dinner together before I head out please let me know! I have been so blessed by the meals, encouragement, prayers and the excitement of the community around me. Five months is a long time to be away from that community but I know God is equipping me and has great plans for the future!
